This is the second coin in the Fortuna series. The ferst coin look at the st. No.5 (here) .

This is the second coin in the Fortuna series, and like its predecessor is minted in a unique Diamondesque-shape. The design based on my painting "Fortuna- imperatrix mundi"

The design on the 2015 Lady of Fortune coin, is based on the medieval tradition, with Dame Fortuna dressed in rich robes and sitting on an ornamental throne.

The throne symbolises the power and might of Fortuna. In one hand she holds a golden cup from which gold coins, a symbol of material wealth, pour out. In her other hand Fortune holds a Magic staff, the symbol of success and happy occasions.

Fortuna’s throne stands on a wheel atop the globe of earth. The wheel symbolises the rise and fall of fortunes, their variability, instablility and inconstancy around the world. In the background, the sea is depicted, reminding us that Fortuna is the daughter of the oceans and the castle represents prosperity and riches for those who are assisted by the Lady of Fortune.  The ornamental elements incorporate fruit and vegetables representing the rich harvest of nature.

Around the central image is the lettering Rota Fortunae – meaning wheel of fortune and Fortuna Venit meaning, fortune comes / happiness comes
